Rose's bottom jaw has just not expanded enough to let her adult teeth in. She has lost her 4 front baby teeth but unfortunately the adult ones are coming in quite staggered. She needed to get her two lower canines pulled.
Rose was actually looking forward to getting her teeth pulled ever since she found out. She was all smiles the whole day, even when we were in the pediatric dentists office. She thought she was such a big girl and was so excited to get more teeth to give to the tooth fairy.
The procedure only lasted about 15 minutes and she handled it like a champ. But when they brought her out to me and she saw me, she got huge tears in her eyes and clung to my legs. Poor girl, it hurt more than she thought it would and she really hated the feeling of the being numb. She was super brave and I am so proud of her!
On the way home she fell asleep. I stopped by the store to pick up lots of treats for her. I should have thought ahead and picked them up beforehand but was too wrapped up in getting Darin and Ken off for High Adventure. She picked out 3 redbox movies and after watching the first one she was ready to eat. For dinner she ate an entire box of go-gurts, a 4 pack of chocolate pudding, and a small pint of ice cream. Since Ken was out of town I pretty much let Nathan and Ginger eat the same thing for dinner too.
As soon as the numbness wore off she was all smiles.
See the big spaces removing those teeth made.
Rose loved playing with her teeth. She still hasn't given to them tooth fairy because she wanted to wait to show Ken. And when he got home from the HA she never remembered to put them under her pillow.
I bet the tooth fairy is going to pay big bucks for those suckers!
