Thankfully Darin has his act together since we didn't even remember he was taking it that day until school was almost out.
Anyway, the scores just posted and Darin passed his Human Geography AP test!!! Right after he found out his score he checked BYU's website to see if it was high enough to get credit (it was!). The he figured out that the $80 Ken and I paid for him to take the test was worth $625 of BYU's tuition today. Making our return on investment 781%!
Yep, he just made his case for us to pay for his AP tests next school year! We are so proud of him! Especially of how hard he worked all year. His teacher was super-tough and he spent a lot of time and effort trying to earn an A in her class. He averaged an 89 for the year some semesters it was little higher sometimes a little lower. But he rarely complained and kept on working his hardest even when she gave him low grades on assignments that he really tried to do his best on. I think the biggest thing that impressed us was when we overheard Darin telling Nathan that Mrs. Barber is the toughest teacher but he should try to get in her class anyways because he will learn more in her class then the others. That's pretty mature thinking for a freshman in high school!
