Ken had to be in California the week after Thanksgiving so we took the opportunity to visit Lola and Papa in Reno for Thanksgiving. We left later then we had planned because of school commitments We drove through the night and all took turns sleeping in the car.
Our children were really amazing on the drive! Nathan was up in front with me most of the time when I was driving. He was showing off his muscles to me.
Celery and peanut butter was the most popular snack that I packed in the car. Actually, I was really surprised about that. Darin even polished off most my bag.
I love that we captured Darin and Ginger sharing ear phones. Seriously, they were amazing. We only took breaks to go to the bathroom. Not even to stretch their legs.
We decided it was high time for us to check out the Hoover Dam, and after nearly 24 hours of straight driving. We've never stopped and seen it on our road trips before.
Rose was obviously very happy to be out of the car!

The boys thought it was pretty cool to see these statues. They had read about it in a Rick Riordin book.
We went through the visitor's center and up on the overlook. Rose kept saying how the people down below at the river level were really short. Ken kept pointing out to her how the tiny people drove the little toy cars. They did look pretty small from way up high.
