Robofair

Darin's RoboFair project was a success! A robotic walking dog, that detects things in the way and leads the blind in another direction by pulling them from it's leash (very cool). He and his team were so excited to create a robot that could be as smart as a dog (well almost). Darin had to learn some programming to accomplish this, such as if statements and parallel programming. He did such a great job and impressed all of us! It was a lot of fun to go to his class and help him learn.




Nathan pulled off a real trick here. He had to learn even more complicted programming such as nesting if-statements inside loops. He used a light intensity sensor to distingish between 4 different colors and then had his mindstorm robot speak the color identified to help the blind identify colors. He and his team had a great idea to help the blind identify colors and associate that with music. Great job Nathan! It was a lot of fun helping in his class also.
