We finally decided!

We finally decided what we wanted to do for our upcoming 10th Family Anniversary. We put off making concrete plans because of different opportunities and reasons, but when it came down to it we really couldn't even decide what to do.

We debated going to Disney World, Florida, San Diego, Cancun, or the Carribbean. There are really just way too many amazing things to do and places to see.

We can't wait until Spring Break is over and we can go on our Anniversary Trip!

Turns out we are complete suckers for our kiddos. We were going to visit St. Kitts and stay in a fabulous suite. Instead we are going to Grand Cayman and staying in a much smaller (very cozy) suite. All because our kids want to see this...

I hope it's worth it:-) Maybe we'll be able to squeeze in a night of this... but who knows it is our family anniversay. Ken and I have been dreaming of a romantic trip to the Caribbean. Turns out we will be bringing quite a bit of baggage:-) But we figured in another 10 or 20 years we will be begging our kids to come and celebrate with us so we better set a precedent while they are young.

BTW- We celebrate our family anniversay every year with our children. Ken takes the day off of work and the kids don't go to school. It's the anniversary of the day we were sealed in the Temple!

A funny incident happened at the boys' school. Darin was telling his Pflex teacher that he would be gone the whole week after Spring Break because it was our family's 10th anniversary. His teacher asked him why and what a family anniversary is. Darin told her we were celebrating because we have been a family for 10 years! (And that was it:-) So now his teacher evidently thinks he was adopted or more likely that Ken is his step-father or something since he looks exactly like me.

I talked to Darin about it afterwards and asked him if we have only been a family for 10 years. He said, "Uh, No." Then he said, "Mom, how long have we been a family?" Pretty funny, considering the boy just turned 11.

Sounds like so much fun! Let us know how wonderful it was.
I had to laugh about the teacher thing. That reminds me of something my kids would do.

OoooO! We just went on a cruise that stopped in Grand Cayman, you have to go somewhere and get Conch Fritters, best thing I have eaten ever! We went with a group called Captain Marvins, it was super fun! You should get certified to scuba dive (if you aren't already) the diving there is amazing!
