Spring Break

This year our Spring Break was pretty much all work and barely any play. The boys earned major money doing painting at our house and yardwork at Lola and Papa's. Which was pretty good for Nathan because he has been saving for months to replace his old DS that broke and really, really wanted to buy a new one before our vacation. He did it! Just barely. But he was quite the hard worker helping us paint.


Darin worked pretty hard too! He painted all the stair railings. We are painting our house a boring beige and saying goodbye to my favorite blue. Hopefully it will make our house sell faster. Here's Darin taking a break.

Rose got in on the action too. More like she insisted and kind of went crazy painting up a storm. Rose did not want to be contained to just the family room she started going into the entry too.

She did an amazing job!

Rose was such a hard worker, after an hour and a half we made her stop and she was not very happy at all!

We did play a little bit of spring break. Outside a few days when the weather was beautiful. Then inside when it got cold and freezing.

This is Rose and Ginger's idea of playing a game together! They were really happy to show me how they were playing a game together. Look carefully and you will see how they tore the game board apart, and were playing together 8 feet apart:-) Srriously, they were actually playing very happily and nicely together.

We also played the wii, because my boys are always happy to be on vacation so they can play video games like a thousnad times more then normal!

Ginger and Rose insist on doing pretty much anything their cool big brothers do. So they had to play the wii with them too. Ginger really can't do anything but shake the remote.

Rose made quite a bit of progress this week and can now move left and right and jump.

The boys really are the nicest brothers in the world. They let them play Super Mario World with them all the time. Even though they don't know how to play very well, that's okay because Darin will just carry them. Darin is super good so even though he is handicapped carrying them he still leads the way most of the time! Look close and you can see him carrying them.
