Main Event

We took the kids to the Main Event to celebrate their end of semester report cards! Our school district has short grading periods (about every 6 weeks) and we usually celebrate good grades with taking the kids out to dinner. But at the end of the two semesters we like to take do something big with the children. They have worked so hard at school and have done an amazing job!  Darin was all A's every grading period except for one class where he got an 89!  He was kind of frustrated because it was just because of a late work that he missed on on straight A's. Nathan was all A's for every class, every grading period!  Rose improved a ton!  She doesn't get letter grades or is even graded on everything yet, but her teacher was really happy with her progress.

We ate while we bowled. It was so much fun!
The girls used the bowling ramp.  And we all used bumpers.

So excited!

Then it was time to play some video games!

The boys loved playing Fruit Ninja.  They earned over 1000 points off of that game.  They are the sweetest brothers too and decided to use 1/3 of their points to get the girls bracelets and things they might like from the redemption center.

The girls loved playing games with Ken.

It was such a fun evening.  We are so proud of our children and how hard they work at school!  They put up with alot and have such a good attitude.  Ken and I seriously wonder how they are such the exact opposite of how we were when we were growing up, at least in this area.  I doubt many teachers would have given us the reputation for always being on task, working hard, having a good attitude, being helpful, and doing our best work:-)
