This year Ken and the boys went wild with fireworks. It took them over an hour just to unwrap all the fireworks to prepare for the show. I think they went a bit more crazy then normal thinking that this might be the last New Year's Eve party in our house. Hopefully
Roman CandlesAll done and ready for the sun to set.
Here's the pyromaniacs! Ken and Trey have been setting off fireworks for the past 5+ years now. They always make it a good time for the kids. Trey introduced Ken to the concept of using a creme brulee torch, and let's just say the show has gotten bigger and bigger every year!
Well, that is until the cops come and crash the party. No joke, the cops got called on our nice non-alcoholic (Mormon) party.
I ran and got Ken to deal with them. I'm such a chicken. Apparently someone complained about the fireworks. We are out of city limits though so they just gave us a warning.
After awhile (like 2 hours) the kids took a break and started playing games.
The fireworks ended around 9 ish, but we kept playing games until 11. Oh, and then after everyone left except for our friends the Wilmore's and we all stayed up until 3am playing Karaoke with all of our kids. Oh my goodness we were hating it the next morning! It was worth it though! We had a crazy and difficult year and it was good to cut loose and party a new year in. Here's to a Happy New Year!
