The kids had blown up a bunch of balloons to drop on Papa in the entry. They were all having so much fun hiding and planning out their surprise.
Rose sure does love to cuddle up with her Papa!
My cutie Ginger was very, very jealous of Ella. If Ella even started to crawl in my direction Ginger would come running and jump into my lap. Which is too bad because Ella is so cute and you just want to pick her up and cuddle her.
It took Papa F-O-R-E-V-E-R to open his birthday present. That might have to do with the fact that we wrote out 60 notes of things we love or enjoy doing with our Papa. In each envelope we also placed $1, a quarter, a dime, a nickel, and a penny. The kids certainly wished they were alot older after that:-)
Here's all the grandkids with Lola and Papa.
We made Papa an airplane cake. It was a white cake with coconut pecan frosting. I think my dad's favortie cake is German Chocolate Cake, but he will never let us make that for him because my mom doesn't like chocolate.
My kids had such a fun time picking out the cake pan and getting these sparkler candles. They really lit it up big. Happy 60th Papa!

We call James' dad Papa too. I love that name. People always ask though if they are talking about their dad. You make some pretty amazing cakes. I love to make cakes for birthday's or anything really.
What a fun day. Your mom looks like she hasn't aged a day since we were like in 6th grade! You got some good genes girl.
What a nice little party! I can't believe your dad doesn't let you make his favorite cake for his birthday because your mom doesn't like it. Now that's love! Your parents are so so sweet.
