Soccer Fun

Nathan totally loves soccer! He is the only one of our kids who participated in soccer this fall season. We decided over the summer that we needed to scale back on activities so that we could be home together more. We really hated how busy we were at the end of the last school year and we wanted to spend more time together. So, we told the kids that if they LOVED something we would support them and sign them up for it, but if it was just enjoyable then we needed to drop it. Hence, why Nathan played soccer and no one else did.

The kids had fun watching Nathan's games and supporting him, that's what we liked too. We also are aiming for all of us to attend everyone's events together and last year it was getting too crazy so that we weren't able to do that.
Ginger and Darin had a blast messing with each others feet. Don't ask me why, they are crazy:-)

I have a whole CD full of pictures from Nathan's games but I lost it so I couldn't post it right now. Valerie, the coach's wife is an amazing photographer and she takes action shots of all the boys. It's awesome, but the downside is that we never take any of our own anymore.

Here are few shots of Nathan getting his award at the end of the season. He did great this past season. He ran hard and was always very determined on defense so the coach kept him in probably 85% of the game. He tried his hand at goalie a couple of times (and hated it, like I knew he would) but really he is a super star defender.
