Christmas
Christmas Morning Ken and I decided to turn the tables on the children.
We woke them up early to open their present from Christmas Eve. We decided to postpone the presents the night before since Rose fell asleep.
We woke them up early so they could see the sunrise. As the sun rises on the horizon just at first it is bright red. We thought that was particulary fitting given that it was Christmas morning.
We had the beach and pool deck to ourselves.
What a beautiful sunrise!
A few pictures on the beach. The girls got new jammies and our big boys got bathrobes.

Anxiously waiting to open presents.
Lola and Papa
Just a few pictures of the excitement. We brought along all the normal presents. I know lots of people wouldn't do that, but it was important to us. Honestly, we brought like 10 pieces of luggage and only 4 of them were of clothes or swimming gear.

Of course after opening everything, they had to dive in and start playing.
Papa delved into his new book. It's about the size on an encyclopedia.
Here they all are. Ken had to take a picture of all of them zoning out.
Ginger and Lola worked on another puzzle.
Then she helped me frost the Cinnamon Rolls.
I was so happy to be able to make these in Cancun. They were not nearly as good as they are at home, but still pretty good considering I didn't even have a single measuring cup.
This is a bird that made us laugh so hard. He just kept tapping on the glass, like he knew about all of the fun and food going inside.
Santa gave Ginger this bouncy ball. She totally LOVED it and bounced in circles all around the downstairs.
The spread of appetizers. We normally spend all of Christmas Day relaxing, playing games, and eating snacks. We were able to keep up with that tradition! We played Chrononauts most of the day. It is a time travel game that I gave Ken. It was so fun!
