Ginger loses a tooth! (At the Beach)

Ginger finally pulled her 2nd front tooth! It has been wiggley for 3 months. She finally pulled the 1st front tooth a few weeks ago and we were trying to bribe her to pull the 2nd before Christmas so we could sing "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth!" But that obviously didn't happen. We also thought it would be really cool if the tooth fairy and Sanya came on the same night. Oh well!

Ginger ended up pulling it on New Years Eve so that was pretty cool. We are also at the beach. I made the brilliant comment that maybe the tooth fairy would bring her sand dollars since we are at the beach. Whoops! Can you say major mom fail!  Especially since it was 10 pm on New Year's Eve.
I guess the tooth fairies must stay in on New Year's Eve because she didn't come that night. Although Ginger also ended up sleeping in our bed because after watching an amazing firework display over the ocean from our condo's balcony she walked right into the glass door. Poor girl:(

But, the next night the tooth fairy came and delivered 7 sand dollars. They were HUGE! At least 6 of them were, there was a normal size 7th one. The tooth fairy at home only usually pays out 8 quarters. Ginger said first it was because she is 7 years old. Then she thought it was because the tooth fairy wanted her to paint every person in our family a sand dollar ornament.
A few years ago when we were in Florida we painted Sand Dollars and I turned them into Christmas Ornaments. Ginger begged us all day long to take her to the store to get paint. She was so excited!!
We spent a couple of hours painting and talking yesterday. It was lots of fun and the perfect arts and craft project for a cloudy day at the beach.
Darin ended up painting a turtle on his, he thinks this will solidify his claim that the original sand dollar turtle ornament is his. Nathan and Darin fight over who painted it every year when we pull out our special ornament.
Our happy, toothless girl!
Nathan did a beach ball design this time. And ensured we took a picture so that no one would dispute it:)
