Darin takes KickStart as his PE class. He totally loves it! KickStart is a karate program that Chuck Norris started.
Darin's school started the program 3 years ago and only had 15 students enrolled. There were 208 students this year at the belt ceremony! I can understand it's huge popularity, it is really great for Darin to participate in.
They had a fundraiser this year and the school who raised the most funds would be honored with a visit from Chuck Norris. Darin's school won! They raised nearly $18,000.
We heard a bunch of speaches:-)
Then the students performed some moves for us.
Then Darin receieved his Gold belt.
This is the best shot I was able to take with Darin and Mr. Norris. Churck Norris shook every single child's hand and took a picture of them. There was a professional photographer but we don't have pictures of that yet.
